...Feferi.  You grinned, trying to hide any of your previous apprehension at visiting your secret crush's hive.

"Hi Feferi," you say raising a hand and giving a tiny wave.  "Can I come in?"

The bubbly emperor beamed absolutely brilliantly upon seeing you and began jumping up and down excitedly.  "OH MY GOSH, YOU'RE REALLY HERE, I'VE BEEN WAITING ALL NIGHT AND ALL DAY BECAUSE YOU SAID YOU WERE COMING AND OH MY GOSH NOW THAT YOU'RE HERE I CAN HARDLY THINK STRAIGHT THIS IS SO EXCITING, WELCOME TO MY NEW HIVE!!!" he gushed, immediately leaping out of his hive's doorway to hug you.  You squeaked a little in surprise as he practically glomped you and nuzzled into your neck, his fins twitching as he purred and giggled.

You blushed a little and couldn't help but smile back at him as he held onto you, quivering with joy.  Feferi was always such a delight to be around--an that delight had been doubled lately as he was so excited to have a second hive that was closer to all of his friends so he could spend more time with them.  In fact, he must have pestered you nightly for weeks about it.  You'd already known, of course, as you were the one who had finally convinced him to make the small move and build his second home on land.  After that, he had talked about it nonstop, trolling and pestering everyone he had the trolltags and chumhandles of so that literally everyone in his and your collective group of friends knew what was going on each and every day of the construction and moving process.

You'd of course offered to help your fiend in his move, but he'd refused.  He'd said that he didn't want you or anyone else to see it until it was completely done.  That's why when you received the message that it was done, you were so surprised.  Then again, you knew that Feferi had kept some of the equipment from the game and that it had probably come in hand with building a new home.

But all that aside, here you were now in the company of your closest and most loved friend--him squeezing the life from you and you glowing bright red in the face.  After a moment of his nuzzles of childlike affection, you gently brought your hands up and patted him on his bare back.  In addition to his jewelry and crown, Feferi had a habit of only wearing pants or his weird shorts and those skirt-like robe-y swaths of fabric or whatever the Hell they were called around his waist so that they flowed behind him as he walked . . . oh yeah, you totally noticed that thing that they do when his hips "wiggle" as he walks.  You had a crush on the man, remember?

So here you were, awkwardly patting him and trying to make him release you.  "Uh, Fef," you wheezed out.  "Can't breathe, bro.  Can you let me go, hon?"

His eyes widened behind his fuchsia goggles and he flicked his fins, quickly letting you out of his warm embrace, though he still held you at an arm's length.  His grin giving a hint of embarrassment as he looked down at you.  "Oh, uh, sorry ______!  I just got a little carried away, I guess."

"Don't you always?" you gently teased with a wry grin, earning a little look of surprise from the he-troll, before he gave a bubbly laugh, his muscled shoulders bouncing easily, his midnight black locks moving slightly over his bare skin.

"Ahahahaha!  Alright, you got me, ______!  Whale, anyway," he chuckled as he wiped a few fuchsia-tinted tears away from his golden eyes, slightly lifting up his goggles as he did so.  "Ahahah, I invited you over today, er, tonight now I guess, to show you around and stuff!"

You slightly tilted your head.  "And stuff?"

"Well yeah!" he beamed.  "After I show you around I figured we could find something to do to entertain us while you're over!  I wouldn't be a very good host if I just gave you a tour and made you leave!" he teased back, taking his hands off of your arms and putting them on his colorfully-clothed hips with a roll of his eyes.  Your arms tingled where his cool gray hands had been placed on them only moments ago, and you suddenly felt chilled without him so close to you.  You didn't really enjoy the feeling of having his grasp removed from your skin . . . but you weren't about to say as much.  That would be rude!  And  . . . kinda creepy.  Definitely didn't want to come across as creepy in front of the troll of your dreams.

You instead put on a wide smile and nodded.  "Alright!  Well . . . could you maybe let me come inside then so we can start?"

He stopped smiling and looked past you for a moment.  "Oh . . . oh wow, yeah come in!  Sorry!"  He gave a slightly embarrassed grin and took a step to the side, holding up an arm to gesture for you to come on in.  You gave him a thankful nod coupled with a sweet smile and walked inside, looking around in awe and wonder at the amazing work of architecture that you suddenly found yourself in.

"Holy . . ." you breathed, taking your time to gaze at everything.  The walls and floor were white marble with brilliant golden molding and lustrous golden pillars, gilded with pearls and pink and fuchsia gems.  There were murals and expensive-looking paintings of various types of sea-creatures all over the walls in little indents in the walls with royal purple curtains drawn aside to show them off.  Next to them were rack upon rack of tridents and harpoons mounted upon the solid walls.  There were busts of different sea-dweller nobles that you didn't know the names of, and tons of different kinds of fish-themed suits of armor standing about.  Giant ornate rugs led down a grand hall in front of you--rooms branching off on both sides before the hall came to an end and an enormous set of stairs led up to a second level.  The banisters appeared to be cuttlefish, and the supports for the handrails looked to be squids.  The chandeliers overhead were made up of different polished, precious metals and looked as though someone had dipped seaweed and different leafy sea plants in gold and silver.

This had to be one of the single most impressive places you'd ever had the honor of setting foot in.  Scratch that--it was most definitely the grandest work of art you'd ever seen in your entire life.  You slowly turned about in circles as you looked over everything, trying to take it all in; to let it absorb.  Feferi watched you admire his home as he closed the giant front door behind him, pushing it closed the rest of the way with his rear before strolling over to you and crossing his arms, smiling.  "Pretty neat, huh?  It took me awhile to design everything, but I think it turned out whale!"

You looked back to him, gaping still.  "Feferi!  It's beautiful in here!  Ugh, I'm so jealous!" you admitted, going over to run your hands over a marble statue of a manatee.

Feferi just chuckled and shrugged.  "I'm reely glad that you think so, ______!  But it's nofin like my hive in the sea.  Too bad you can't sea that one, too . . ." he said, frowning a little, his fins drooping as he looked off to the side.  He sure had been lonely down in his underwater castle of late . . . what with all of his friends spending their time on land.  Not even Eridan spent anytime in the water anymore.  And Gamzee just . . . hung out on the shore sometimes when he wasn't off doing Gog knows what.  But he'd especially missed one person in particular.  A lovely young human girl with (h/l), (h/c) hair and beautiful (e/c) eyes.  Someone who had the sweetest voice he'd ever heard belonging to something that breathed air.  You.  He'd often thought of you down there, wishing that you could be with him in the comfort of his own home, where you two could talk for endless hours and watch movies and play with the cute little sea creatures he "culled".  But seeing as his hive was, again, underwater, that wouldn't be happening anytime soon.  Not until now, with his new hive away from hive.

You frowned as well, snapping out of your daze when you heard the slightly less enthusiastic tone enter the normally carefree Pisces' voice.  You didn't like seeing him, or any of your friends, like this, really.  But him more so.  Feferi was . . . very, very special to you.  You went to him and put a hand on his arm, lightly tugging him.  "Hey," you murmured gently, eyes bright.  "I may not be able to be down there, but at least I can see you here, you know?  Why not give me the grand tour now that we're inside?" you suggested to which the sea-dweller gladly nodded, perking up considerably.

"Shore!  Right this way, ______!  Oh, and here," he said, offering you to take his arm.

Your eyes widened lightly but you accepted it, wrapping your arms around the one he held bent at the elbow for you, giving him a shy smile.  He returned it with an even bigger one and then looked ahead into his hive, bringing you down the massive corridor.

~

Well, it had been a good hour and a half later when he had finally shown you everything there was to show in his giant new home, and you were feeling drained from walking for so long, being hurriedly led from one place to another by the hyperactive, cheery he-troll.  When you'd finally reached the last room on the tour--a fancy-looking glass turret room on the highest level that overlooked all the surrounding lands, you let go of his arm and took a seat in a cushy, white chaise, throwing your legs up onto the piece of furniture as you looked up through the crystalline ceiling at the colorful light of the moons.

"Wow, Fef.  My legs are so sore, I don't know how you do it," you sighed, grinning up at him as he went and stood behind you, leaning over to look at you.

"Hmm?  What do you mean?" he queried.

You laughed softly and covered your eyes with an arm.  "How you always have boundless energy and never get tired no matter what you're doing or how long you do it.  It baffles me!  I wish I could keep up," you admitted, wondering for a second if he ever got annoyed at having you around if all you truly did was slow him down and hinder him getting anything done or doing anything fun.  But you were met by the sound of easy laughter.

"Oh, ______!  It's just who I am!  I know that not everyone is hyperactive like me, but that's okay!  It's actually kind of nice taking things easy every once in a whale," he said, sitting on the edge of the chaise, looking over at you, his hands propping his body up behind him.

"Really?" you asked, taking a peek at him.

He chuckled softly, fins flicking as your (e/c) eye came slightly into view from the shadows cast by your arm as it prettily caught the refracted light coming in though the glass roof and walls of the room.  "Reely, reely.  Now, how's about some food?" he offered, perking up again.

You laughed a little and rolled onto your side, taking your arm off your face.  "But Fef," you protested playfully.  "We only just sat down to catch our breath!  And you said that you like taking things slow every once in a while!"

"Yeah, but we could also relax in the kitchen or sitting room with a bowl of ice cream!" he said, wiggling his brows a little bit.

You paused a little, thinking it over before you caught his expression.  For a moment, he looked absolutely shocked that you would have to actually think over having a bite of ice cream as if it was the most amazingly, scrumptiously tempting treat in the whole universe.  This elicited a fit of giggles from you and you covered your eyes by your hand as you laughed.  "Oh Jesus, Fef!  I was kidding!  Ice cream sounds good, thanks," you said, just taking your hand off from your face when suddenly you found yourself being lifted into the air.

"H-HUH!?" you exclaimed, only to be met with the happy fuchsiablood's gorgeous grinning face.

"What?  You looked pretty tired, so I thought I'd carry you there.  If that's okay."

"O-oh . . . yeah.  Yeah, that's fine.  Thanks," you said slightly quieter, shifting a little in his hold to wrap your arms around his shoulders to better support yourself.  You were also seriously trying not to break out into a blush at being lifted up bridal-style by the shirtless troll of your dreams, but you were too weak to fight it, and a little color slipped through your defenses, coloring your cheeks rosy pink.  Unfortunately for you, this did not go unnoticed by your "transportation".

Fef looked at you in surprise, fins standing up.  "______!  You're getting red!  Are you feeling okay?  Are you too hot?"

"Uuh, I, n-no?" you stammered.

He paused right above the stairs after carrying you out of the glass room and he lifted a hand to feel your cheeks and forehead.  "Yes you are!" he exclaimed.  "That's not good, not at all!  Come on now, _______!  Let's get some nice cold ice cream into you!  You'll feel better in two squirts of a cuttlefish's ink!"  And with that, the handsome he-troll had whisked you down the flights of stairs back into his kitchen.  During the whole trip there, you felt as though you would forget how to breathe.  He'd been brushing his hand over your face!  And now he was carrying you away in his arms against his bare chest!  You were blushing almost furiously now just at the realization of your current situation, which only made him panic and hurry even faster so that he almost tripped over his flippers going into the kitchen.

"Hnng!" he gasped, lurching and almost dropping you.  But he righted himself and slowed a tad, bringing you over to a shiny, white counter top.  He carefully sat you down and brushed a little hair out of your face.  "There.  Now, just wait here a moment, and I'll be right back with something to cool you down," he promised, backing and turning away to his large fridge as he started rummaging about for his tub of (f/f) ice cream.

"Oh, o-okay!" you said back as he went to get you something to eat.  While he did so, you sighed a little, trying to get your emotions under control.  He was just being a good friend is all . . . nothing too strange about what he was doing.  Well . . . then again he did seem rather concerned for you when he saw you turning red and felt you growing warm.  And oh!  You couldn't believe you'd gotten that close to him!

It was all you could do to not sigh dreamily as you put your chin in your hands, your elbows propped on your knees as you crossed your legs on the counter.  Hey, you'd taken off your shoes, might as well get comfortable, right?  You weren't exactly a filthy animal.  Instead, you just watched him hurry about and grab things, getting them out of drawers or down from cupboards.  His movements were so fluid, so graceful and rhythmic, that you became entranced while watching him.

~

Feferi was hurrying about to get you something to eat.  That was so weird!  I've never seen her so bright red before!  Maybe she's sick?  No, then she wouldn't have come.  She knows better than to push herself when she's ill.  Hmm . . . was it because of something I did?  No . . . well . . . maybe?  I don't know.  She seemed to be fine beforehand, and not nearly as hot . . . well, she was always hot.  WAIT.  ER . . . He blushed a little at his thoughts as he scooped some of the (f/f) into a (f/c) bowl for you to eat.  The flurry of thoughts in his head was also doing very well to make him self-conscious, and he could've sworn that he was being watched . . . by you.  He could practically feel your eyes boring into his back, and his cheeks turned a light shade of off-pink.

Risking a tiny glance back at where he'd left you as he reached up to close the cupboards, he felt his blush grow brighter and he swallowed a little at what he saw.  The way you were looking at him . . . your gorgeous, (e/c) half-lidded eyes, the way you were biting your lip . . . little to say the royalblood found it extremely hard to focus on what he was doing.  In fact, he almost dropped your food.  Though, as he turned to grab your spoon, he came to the sudden realization that perhaps that was why you were so warm and red earlier.  you were flustered . . . he'd made you flustered.  A slow, sly fishy grin spread from fin to fin on his face as he began to hatch a plan about what the two of you could "do and stuff".

Oh . . . this just might work out very nicely, hehe!

~

You were still watching him when he began turning around to you and approached, handing you a bowl.  "My lady," he offered kindly, bowing a little.  You were snapped out of your daze, and shook your head before blinking a little and accepting the frozen treat.

"Thanks, Feferi!  This looks really good!  But . . . aren't you going to be eating anything?"

"Me?  Oh, maybe later.  Come on, let's get you somewhere where you can enjoy this better.

"Hmm?  Where?" you asked curiously around the spoon, eyebrows quirking as you were savoring your first bite.

"You'll sea~" he chimed before, yes, lifting you again.  You immediately quieted down and held the bowl above your stomach while he brought you back upstairs and towards a set of grand, glass doors that led out onto a beautiful balcony with a breath-taking view of the land.  You could honestly get used to this--being carried everywhere by this wonderful, caring troll, eating sweet deserts, enjoying the nighttime out on lovely balconies and patios.  And of course, getting to spend all of the time in the world with said wonderful troll.  Maybe holding hands . . . looking out at the stars or the ocean . . . You were beginning to get lost in your imaginings once again and you had to pinch yourself a bit while he wan't looking to fully snap out of it.  And yet, here you were, doing all of those things . . . except the last part, of course.

Feferi carried you to a lounge chair and set you down softly before pulling another over and leaning on it, laying on his side to face you.  You stared a little at his slightly, er, sensual pose as he smiled over at you.  You tried to take your mind off of him by scooping up some more ice cream and putting it in your mouth, averting your gaze skyward.  Feferi was not to be deterred, however.  And he merely let out a content sigh.

"So, ______.  Are you feeling any better out here?  It should be nice and cool . . . I hope not too cool," he said in a low voice, not taking his eyes off you for a moment.

You lightly squirmed at his tone and instead tried eating more ice cream.  "N-no, I'm fine," you replied before eating another scoop.  Maybe if your mouth was full, he'd be less inclined to ask you things that got you flustered for some reason?  What the Hell were you even saying!?  You loved this shit as much as it made you uncomfortable.

He nodded a little and rolled onto his stomach, leaning his face against one hand.  "Oh, good.  How's the ice cream?  Good?"

"Mmhmm," was all you replied, your flush starting to return.  He giggled a little to himself, causing you to fumble your spoon a little.  The awkward movement led to you flicking a little ice cream off of your spoon and onto your cheek and a tiny spot on your shirt.  You frowned and st up, moving the bowl off of your legs as you held the bottom of your shirt, stretching it a little so you had a better view of things.  "Oh great . . ."

Feferi saw his chance to make the classic move of all moves and bit his lip a little in nervous excitement, reaching out a hand as he pushed himself to be sitting on his knees, legs folding under him.  "Oh, my.  It appears you've gotten a little ice cream on your face there, _______."

You looked up at, your gaze moving from your shirt as you turned your head.  "Hmm?  I wha-" you were cut off in shock when he reached out and touched your cheek, running his fingers over the skin before drawing them away and slowly running his tongue over them, his cheeks flushing almost as much as yours as he sucked the ice cream off of them.  But he hadn't finished yet, oh no.  While you were still absorbed in his movements, he licked his lips a little and half-lidded his eyes.

"Why . . . it seams you have a little more, there."

"Wh-where?" you breathed in a tiny voice.

"Right . . . there," he whispered, his hand holding your face as he leaned in more, his cheeks growing brighter as he started to close his eyes.  You almost couldn't believe that this was happening!  Feferi, FEFERI, OF ALL TROLLS, was putting the MOVES ON YOU!  You almost shook at his touch, and could have sworn your heart was going to jump out of your throat at any moment as you slowly started to inch forward, your lips slightly parting and your eyes sliding shut.

Feferi let out a low purr and once his eyes were closed and he was only an inch or so away from you, he reached out a hand to brace himself on the end of your lounge.  Or at least, he tried.  Instead, his hand went where else, but right into your ice cream.  The sudden cold shock caused him to jump a little, his eyes snapping open.

"AH!" he exclaimed as he jolted a little.  This then caused you to jump, your own eyes flying wide as your leg jerked and bumped the bowl, pushing it off of your seat and over the edge.  Feferi hadn't pulled his hand out in time and when his support fell, he fell with it, face planting on the edge of your lounge with enough force to tip the entire thing over, causing you to then slide off and land on the poor troll.  As if this all wasn't bad enough, that damn ice cream had been sent air born when the bowl flipped and fell.  It arced up and then came splattering down onto your chest, your low-cut top not doing much to prevent you from feeling the chill of a thousand arctic blasts on your sensitive flesh.

"OHHOLYJESUSCHRISTALMIGHTY!" you shouted, jumping, only to trip as your legs had become somewhat tangled with Feferis, making you fall flat on your face as well, except this time on the hard balcony floor.  You clenched your eyes shut and groaned, not lifting your face up for a long moment until you had somewhat regained your bearings on the world.  You shakily pushed yourself up slowly, feeling slightly sore.  "Uh ow," you groaned before you heard another lower groan coming from underneath you.  Your eyes suddenly flew open, realizing that you must have landed on the poor Pisces.

You gasped and scramble-rolled off of him, turning around and looking at him on your hands and knees.  "Fef?!  Are you okay?" you asked, concern evident in your voice.  Feferi merely groaned back in reply, staying face-down on the ground.  This only caused you to worry more.  Was he hurt so badly that he couldn't even answer or push himself up!?  Did you really weigh enough to do something like that?  No--bad!  This wasn't the time for that nonsense.  Your weight was fine, but Feferi wasn't.

You leaned over and carefully rolled him over onto his back, biting your lip as you did so only to find . . . he's slightly scraped his nose?  "Feferi, what the heck?  Are you okay or not?" you asked seriously while still moderately worried.  After another stretch of silence, the he-troll you were cradling in your arms came to life, blinking open his eyes and sighing in dejection.  You regarded him confusedly.  "Uh . . . Fef?"

The sea-dweller sighed and turned his head away.  "What?" he asked in probably the most unenthusiastic voice you'd ever heard.

You blinked in surprise.  "Fef . . . I was worried you were hurt!  Are you okay?" you asked, softly running a hand over his cheek.

For another long moment, he didn't do anything and you figured that it was useless to keep asking him when he let out another sigh and covered his face with his hands.  "Gog . . . no, I'm not."

Your eyes immediately widened.  "Where are you hurt?!" you demanded, causing him to lower his hands in confusion.

"No, I don't mean hurt . . . I mean . . . well, kind of.  It's just my pride . . . and our evening.  I ruined it all . . because I'm stupid."  When he finished he glared and pouted a bit down at his lap as he got up into a sitting position.  You, meanwhile, were left in stunned silence.

"Our evening?  Ruined?  Fef, I don't know what you-"

"______!  I made a mess of it!  Don't you see?  I was right about to finally open up and tell you everyfin I've been holding back, but I ruined it!  I ruined it all!  I slipped in that dumb ice cream and then made you fall on me!" he practically wailed in agony.

You stared at him.  ". . . . No."

"What?"  He looked at you in confusion.  "No what?"

"No, you didn't make me fall on you," you said slowly before building up some courage of your own and taking a deep breath.  "You made me fall for you," you corrected.

Feferi stared at you, realizing what you'd just said, his look of befuddlement vanishing like mist in sunshine.  "I-I, what?  I did?  How?" he asked, stuttering.

You sighed and leaned closer to him, wiping a little ice cream off of his face before you straightened his goggles.  "By just being you . . . Feferi, oh God," you sighed, leaning back and laying your hands, palms up, on your legs.  "Listen.  I know that you're supposed to be my best friend ever and all that . . . but the truth is, I care for you so much more than that."  You looked into his wide, gold eyes.  "Feferi, I . . . I love you.  I have for quite some time now.  And this-" she gestured to the ice cream, "-isn't going to change that.  It was just a little accident.  And a pretty funny one at that," you giggled a little, some light entering your (e/c) eyes again as you spoke softly to him.

Feferi was speechless for a moment before he suddenly reached out, grabbing you and pulling you into a tight hug.  "Oh Gog!  I thought I just messed up so badly that you wouldn't want to talk to me again or you'd laugh or somefin and then you'd leave and I wouldn't get to tell you that I'm flushed for you, too!  And then I'd-"

You sighed quietly and broke his nervous rambling with a finger to his lips.  "Feferi . . ." you murmured.  "It's okay.  Really, it's fine. It was just a little accident, like I said.  You don't need to apologize or anything like that, dear.  All you need to do, is be quiet for a second."

"I wha-" he asked before you cut him off again, but this time, by pressing your lips to his.  He stiffened in surprise, but quickly melted into the kiss, closing his eyes.  He put a hand on your back, holding you steady on top of him as you held his face in your hands in turn, tilting your head just enough to deepen the kiss.  Feferi sighed quietly in a mix of relief and pleasure and continued kissing back, running his hand up through your hair now before you two had to eventually break it.

You leaned back, smiling softly and lovingly at him, and he, grinning adoringly back up at you.  "You know?" he began.  "I think I liked that much better than the one I would have given you."

You laughed and raised a brow.  "You do?  How come?"

"Because you're right--this is funnier!" he giggled, looking down at the cold, creamy mess clinging to your clothes and the ground that used to be ice cream.  You chuckled back and nodded.  "Yeah . . . guess we ought to clean this up, huh?"

"Yeah, but in a sec," he said, calming down a little as he looked at you seriously again.  You didn't say anything, just let him continue as he moved his hands to your waist.  "______?"  He paused.  "Would . . . would you please be my matesprit?  I . . . I was going to ask you anyway, but we . . . yeah," he glanced back at the sticky, melting mess.

You felt your heart flutter as you chuckled a little and nodded.  "Yes, yes I would love to be your matesprit, Feferi.  Thank you for asking me," you murmured, holding his face as you leaned in and kissed him again.  He grinned into it and purred a rumbling purr deep in his throat, fins quivering.

"Good . . . now we can get cleaned up."

"Sweet.  Hope you like hot showers."

He froze, blushing wildly and staring up at you.  ". . . . . . . What?"
Oh look, another late fanfic.  Except this one is even more late since I haven't done anything with it in months, and I'm literally just now wrapping it up at 2:00 in the morning.  :iconimsotiredplz:
Hope you enjoy as always, dears!  More to come~
