DeviantArt.  Deleted.  Everything. I.  Typed.  And now I'm finding out that he can't even get in because he's a minotaur.  This was never expressed as an issue beforehand.  .-.  *Gives up*

maybe if you draw him more beastly and monstrous and less cute he might not be considered a fursona

It's not that he was declined for being cute, he was just declined because he was an animal.  He's still only young--he'll grow into his monstrous species' form yet.

I can understand why they would no accept something that's too mush of a fursona... fursecution is so much fun! x'D
but not accepting minotaurs is weird
maybe it's cuz there is few ppl able to draw non human face while any wannabe mangaka can (only) draw human face..

need to check their rules :

"supernatural species" (so they want species and not races)

"the specie of your creature is up to you" (okay, that sound good for minotaur so far)

"avoid full furries" + "a human face is the imortant part" (what's freaking wrong with having fur on your face and what's the big deal with wanting anything but human(, as they ask for specie) but with a human face)

"werewolf... are... encouraged" (okay.... now that's weird)

"must have a humanoid form" (Furries are humanoid! why no say must have a HUMAN form cause human and humanoid is completely different)

"mythological creatures are...encouraged." (..as long as they have a human form? it's stupid! what kind of mythological creature have by lore a human form?)

wow these rules are stupid!

maybe they ask all their monster student to have a charm to look human in case there is an inspection from the minister of national eduction. x'D
but even then why would non human ears and tails be allowed?

LOl I can imagine :
"Hey Hello I'm a nemean lion" says a human.
"No you're not, I am!" says another human.
"Well guys, you both are not, I am a witch, it's my specie, I know those sorta things" says a human girl.
"It's not a specie, you're just a human with magical powers. I am a dragon! THat is a specie!" says yet another human boy.

BOOOOOORing!!

But there is ways to pass their rules, you can draw a front face completely in the shadow with just the eyes showing, ears and horns as part of the silhouette so that they can't know if it is a human face or a non-human face

It is very frustrating, yeah.  But I still don't want to give Abraxas a human form.  He is a Minotaur and that's that.

I don't think I could do that.  His body would still look like that of an animal, and they'd want me to give a reference of his face.  If I hid it, he'd be denied again.  It's not worth the struggle anymore.

even the legs you can hide
any minotaur can just look like a big human with huge head and horns with enough clothes and shadows.

Again, hon. I'm not allowed to hide his form. Besides, I still have to list his species.

you mean the characters can't have hood and/or big cloak?
that's weird

They can, but you have to have a reference of their face or frame. Otherwise, it's cheating.

Why would he get denied access because of his species? o.0

Because apparently although he is a Minotaur, which is indeed a legitimate mythical species, he falls under the class of "furries" so he was denied.

I really like this character- maybe make him a human form and resubmit next term? And then he can like, transform into a minotaur?

Thank you.  Someone else actually brought up the form-changing with me, but Minotaurs don't shape shift and I wanted to keep any magical abilities to a minimum seeing as how he's a non-magical creature.  I don't know . . . he just might never be allowed in the group.  *Shrugs*

Nope.  He's not allowed, I'm afraid.  He's a "furry."  ._.
Thanks anyways, honey.
