Balitmore's Fireflies

Look . . . I finished . . . I finally finished . . . it's 1:50 a.m. and I finally finished.  *Dies on the floor*
I am really, really, really proud of this, you guys.  I have literally spent all of today and some of yesterday getting this done for my French class tomorrow.  If you're wondering why on Earth I did this for my French class, then please read the description under the WIP here:  Balitmore's Fireflies WIP

So this pretty much the first detailed picture I've ever done with a tablet.  I have to say that it was super, super fun and was amazingly easy to use!  I thought I would never learn how to use the darned thing, but after a few days of intensive practice with homestuck sprites and what not, I finally was able to create this lovely piece based off of the song "Baltimore's Fireflies" by Woodkid.  The song, for me, is really emotional and very, very beautiful.  I just find the conflict in the song as well as the seemingly exhausted tone of the man singing to be quite thought-provoking, as well as inspiring.  I'm honestly having a bit of a hard time just saying what this song really means to me due to my current state of exhaustion, but I do hope that you really enjoy the piece I created.

Also, I had twenty-three layers on this image when I finished.  Holy God.
